Aerial view and property boundary of the 20.59-hectare BJ Property near Shamrock Lake[cite: 19].
The BJ Property is an early-stage silver-lead-zinc-copper polymetallic vein exploration project situated in the Golden Mining Division of southeastern British Columbia[cite: 19]. The 20.59-hectare property lies near the south shore of Shamrock Lake at an elevation of approximately 2,320 metres within the Omineca tectonic belt and Ancestral North America terrane[cite: 19, 21]. The property's focused size provides an exploration target centred directly on a documented high-grade polymetallic occurrence within a region known for carbonate-hosted and Mississippi Valley-type mineralization, such as the historic Paradise Mine[cite: 19, 21].
The regional geology is defined by Proterozoic clastic sedimentary rocks of the Purcell (Aldridge, Creston, Kitchener, Dutch Creek, Mount Nelson formations) and Windermere (Toby Formation, Horsethief Creek Group) supergroups, along with lower Paleozoic strata[cite: 21]. Locally, these rocks have undergone regional greenschist facies metamorphism and significant structural deformation, where folding and overthrusting have created permeable pathways for hydrothermal vein emplacement[cite: 21]. At the BJ occurrence, mineralization is specifically hosted within dolomite of the Monk Formation (Horsethief Creek Group), where tensional fractures developed near a fold axis have acted as traps for sulphide deposition[cite: 22].
| Sample Type | Interval | Ag (g/t) | Pb (%) | Zn (%) | Cu (%) | Mineralogy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rock-channel sample | 0.5 m across 0.1 m vein | 88 | 8.95% | 4.36% | 0.05% | Galena, tetrahedrite, sphalerite, smithsonite[cite: 22] |
Mineralization at the BJ showing is heavily structurally controlled, occurring in two principal styles: (1) galena-sphalerite-tetrahedrite within fractures and quartz-carbonate veins (with secondary smithsonite), and (2) subvertical quartz veins dominated by galena and tetrahedrite[cite: 22]. Because the mineralization is intimately linked to folding and tensional fracturing, future exploration must expand beyond the historic trenches to map parallel fractures, fold hinges, carbonate contacts, and structural intersections[cite: 22, 23]. This structural framework presents an excellent opportunity for targeted geophysical and geochemical surveys to delineate strike extensions[cite: 23].
Aurora Gold and Gravels Inc. offers the BJ Property for outright purchase or through a staged option-to-purchase agreement. An outright 100% acquisition can be negotiated via cash and/or share payments, subject to a retained Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty. Alternatively, a partner may earn up to 100% ownership through staged cash payments, company shares, and exploration expenditures. The vendors propose a 2% NSR royalty structure, with all final purchase prices, commitments, and buyback provisions open to mutual negotiation.
